We spend our lives waiting for God to move His hand, just like how Habakkuk decided to wait on God from the watch tower. But perhaps if we look close enough at the details of our everyday lives, we will already see His handiwork. Miracles, we may call them. This blog is a listing of the things I have asked for, and were given; stuff I have sought, and found; and doors I have knocked upon, and have been opened.

Blessings

Blessings in the form of friendship is often not very obvious to us. It is only when friendship becomes tested by time or a certain situation that people realize that friends are indeed God's way of blessing us and showering us with attention. I had been blessed by the Lord with great friends, people who from the very beginning have been gentle souls and kindred spirits. These are what I call my non-fair weather friends, or low maintenance friends.

Friends who really stick out like the Italian peninsula into the Mediterranean Sea are usually those who you do not see regularly; those you NEED NOT see regularly and yet the friendship ensues and grows leaves, branches and sometimes even wings.  The friendship is bridged by other ways of communicating, and I do not pertain to the electronic and technological means that has become so popular these days. When  a friend says the right word at the right moment, exactly the word you needed at that time, or when he/she does not says the word you need not hear at that very instance, are manifestations of how great the bridge has become and how the friendship has finally been molded and transformed by the Lord from a sheer acquaintance into a fine, polished gift from Him.

So sometimes we wait for the hand of God to move and we pray to the Big Boss for something great to happen, not realizing that throughout the years that "great thing" has been there, watching Lord of Rings films with you, giving time for great conversations about family with you over sweets and decaf coffee, and praying for you regardless of whether you are in a tight spot or not.
